Most of the city reaches Route 35 in a few blocks, since it runs through town as Convery Boulevard. Head south over the Victory Bridge into Sayreville, stay on Route 35 along the bay side past Laurence Harbor and Cliffwood, and in Aberdeen Route 34 branches off. The store is at 1102 NJ-34, just south of that junction. From Harbortown and the south end of the city you are on the bridge almost at once.

A port city with three centuries of arrivals
Perth Amboy was the capital of East Jersey from the late 1600s, and the Proprietary House on Kearny Avenue was built in the 1760s for the royal governor, William Franklin, Benjamin Franklin's son. On March 31, 1870, Thomas Mundy Peterson cast his ballot here in a city election, the first vote by an African American under the newly ratified Fifteenth Amendment; residents later presented him with a gold medal to mark it.
